2022: Towards a single emergency number?
The subject has long been a source of irritation in France: the system of emergency numbers (15 SAMU, 17 Police, 18 Fire, 112 European number). The Matras Law promulgated at the end of November 2021 aims to simplify the system by introducing, on an experimental basis, three models of platforms for receiving emergency calls from 2022. Where will these experiments take place? What reorganisation of operations will this law require? At what cost? Some twenty joint platforms have already existed for several years in France. What are the results?
